The latest edition of the Journal of Banking and Finance Law and Practice has been published and was edited by the executive of the BFSLA’s Academic Committee. The special edition’s theme is “Reflections on the Banking and Financial Services Royal Commission” and presents a collection of scholarly essays from members of the Academic Committee critically evaluating important issues highlighted during the Royal Commission.
The Academic Committee was established in 2013 and comprises university academics from Australia and New Zealand who teach and conduct research across the broad themes within, and allied to, banking and finance law, including retail and corporate banking, corporate finance and fundraising, PPSA and secured transactions, financial services regulation, consumer credit, insolvency and other sub-disciplinary areas.
One of the purposes of the Committee is to engage in a continuing dialogue between scholars and the profession. We trust the articles by our members in this special issue will contribute to that dialogue through scholarly analysis that is engaging and thought-provoking.
