Appointment of Kerryn Smith to replace Bruce Whittaker as director
At the BFSLA board meeting on 2nd April 2020, Bruce Whittaker retired as a director of the BFSLA. I thank Bruce for his years of distinguished service to the Association, including as President from 2017 to 2019.
I am pleased to announce that Kerryn Smith, Head of Conduct, Corporate & Institutional Banking, National Australia Bank has been appointed as a director to replace Bruce Whittaker.
Kerryn joined NAB in 2007 and has held a variety of roles including Acting Head of Markets Operational Risk & Compliance, Senior Legal Counsel in the Markets and International Legal team and Principal Counsel for the Wholesale Banking Legal and nabCapital Legal teams and he has provided advice on derivatives, OTC regulation, regulatory investigations, syndicated lending, project finance, asset finance and structured finance.
Kerryn has been an active and long-serving member of the BFSLA conference planning committee and has chaired a number of sessions at recent conferences
