Official Launch of the BFSLA Standard Form Closing Opinion.

The Banking & Financial Services Law Association is pleased to announce the launch of the BFSLA Standard Form Closing Opinion.

This opinion is the culmination of extensive work by an opinions committee formed of representatives of a number of member firms, and has been discussed with a number of banks. The opinion’s purpose is to have some consistency in the basic closing opinions given by law firms in this market in an effort to avoid the extensive and costly negotiations and delays that so often bedevil what could be a relatively straightforward process.
